Rachel Richards (she/her)
Who do I admire?
I admire lots of people, but I most admire my parents and brother because despite the odds and challenges they faced, they never gave up. They all created a successful path for themselves, while remaining kind and humble to themselves and others. They encouraged me to be myself and to follow my own dreams. They taught me what it was like to be heard, accepted and understood which fuelled my passion to help and empower others.
Why did I become a coach?
I became a coach to support others pave the way for themselves and follow their dreams. My working career has always focused on supporting people find their own sense of clarity and confidence. I gain satisfaction from helping people develop and reach their potential. What I love most about coaching is its about the individual finding themselves and their own solutions.
How would you describe your coaching style?
My coaching style is based on creating a warm safe supportive relationship. While focusing on the individual’s inner wisdom, strengths, and capabilities, I will compassionately challenge self-limiting beliefs and self-defeating behaviours. I have a special interest in neurodiversity, menopause, and mental health. I love the outdoors and being in nature and do offer local outdoor coaching.
